Jewish Agency Strengthens Connections in the Community

The Jewish Agency is a non-profit Jewish organization with the mission to inspire Jews to connect with their heritage and people. Research shows that many Jews attribute their Jewish identity to their relationships with their grandparents. Therefore, The Jewish agency started a new program using grandparent-grandchild relationships to strengthen Jewish identity. Through myQuest, they were able to create an engaging and interactive digital platform to help connect community members from all across the globe.

Jewish identity

"myQuest is a great tool that is easily customizable and provides easy access to the digital world. The structure and support offered by the mquest team is uncomparable.” - Lionel Mitelpunkt, Content Manager at The Jewish Agency

Key Achievements

  • The Jewish Agency was able to nurture relationships between family members by using gamification and habit formation techniques
  • They successfully developed a creative an educational online platform for their clients allowing them to reach their audience of different ages and cultures.
  • Clients strongly connected to the brand; it became more relevant and accessible

Challenges

The Jewish Agency works to connect the global Jewish family by providing Jews worldwide with opportunities to engage with their Jewish roots through online resources and in-person meetings. Before myQuest, the Jewish Agency tried to launch their new program on Facebook, but users were distracted and it was ineffective. Another issue with social media networks is that it limited the amount of data The Jewish Agency could collect and control. They wanted to be able to own the data and use it to continue to advance. Their goal was to find a platform that would be suited for both their older audience and the younger crowd of both English and Hebrew speakers.

How myQuest Aided The Jewish Agency in Creating a Digital Platform

Through myQuest, they are able to use a twin city model, connecting a city in Israel with a city abroad. They work with three cities in America (Cincinnati, Miami, and the Greater Metro West) along with Cape Town, South Africa. The Jewish Agency was attracted to myQuest because of the chance to use gamification and how organized the technology was. They also found the concepts of habit building techniques and NLP-based learning helpful in encouraging grandparents and grandchildren to reach out to each other. They especially appreciated the fact that they could make the platform unique to them; It was important for The Jewish Agency to find a platform that was structured but also gave them a lot of freedom to wide label it as theirs

The Results

The Jewish Agency is seeing increased interest among users who have used their new myQuest platform. The Jewish Agency now has countless elements that they love, such as the ability to use multiple languages in their platform, the habits section which helps nurture relationships between users, and the chance to create an environment that is easy and enjoyable for people of all ages. They have succeeded in creating a digital platform that is as similar as possible to face to face encounters.

3 Reasons Why The Jewish Agency Swears by myQuest:

1. “We can give our mentors the possibility to adapt their language to make it the most suitable for their users”
2. “We are able to easily facilitate and nurture relationships”
3. “We’re putting the tool in people’s hands, and they experience it; it just works”
